Dear Friends,
 
We hope this finds you well and that you will take the time to read about our upcoming event and decide to participate by donating to our silent auction and/or raffle.
 
Sherine Grody proudly calls Mancelona home, born and raised in Northern Michigan. She is a beloved member of the community and has worked at Shanty Creek for 12+ years.
 
In May, Sherine was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma, the only incurable form of brain cancer. She has been through 3 brain surgeries, physical pain, physical therapy,
occupational therapy, speech therapy, radiation, and continuous chemotherapy. She was admitted into Munson on May 17th and has recently been transferred to MediLodge of GTC where she currently resides.
 
She is an independent, hard-working, loyal, and just overall fantastic human; she would stop at nothing to help a friend in need. Sherine is not one to ask for help or let anyone know she needs assistance, even if she could at this time.
 
Therefore, we have decided to put together a taco/nacho dinner fundraiser benefit to help her with her sudden loss of income.
 
“Tossin’ for a Cause” – all-you-can-eat taco/nacho bar with a silent auction, raffles, and cornhole tournament.
 
This event will take place at the Antrim Meadows Campground in Mancelona on August 27th, 2022, starting at 1:00 p.m.
 
To make this benefit a success we need your help! Please consider supporting “Tossin’ for a Cause” by donating. In exchange, you will receive some excellent community exposure and all company information will be posted at the event and on social media leading up to the event. To make things as easy as possible we will gladly set up a time to pick up your donation. We would like to keep it as organized as possible so please let us know by August 20th if you plan to participate.
 
We are extremely grateful to you for taking the time to consider our request to assist in making “Tossin’ for a Cause” an extraordinary and successful event for Sherine.

*Below is a list of items that are requested but not limited to:
 
Food/Beverages: Taco shells (hard and soft), sour cream, taco sauce, tortilla chips, salsa, nacho cheese, black olives, onions, tomatoes, shredded cheese, refried beans, desserts, bottled water, iced tea, lemonade, coffee, coffee creamer, sugar. Disposable Tableware/Buffet Items: tablecloths, disposable pans, utensils, plates, napkins, silverware, trash bags, cups, and coffee cups. Silent Auction/Raffle items: Please feel free to donate anything like gift certificates, merchandise, services, themed baskets (movie night, baking items, garden items, wine & glasses, homemade goods, pet supplies, beach, grilling, etc.), or bottles of booze.
